With 1 in 6 children growing up in conflict zones, the need to support young families has never been greater. That’s why we partnered with the The LEGO Foundation to launch Play to Learn, which pairs research-backed educational content with direct services to deepen learning, strengthen bonds with caregivers, and build foundational emotional skills that can last a lifetime. With over 33 million children reached across 32 countries, the program has played a critical role in helping children continue to learn when traditional services are disrupted. International Day of Play reminds us that young children use play to explore the world and learn skills like empathy and connection with others that lay the foundation for peace-building and stability. Yet playful early learning programs are both underfunded and inaccessible to far too many children, especially those affected by conflict and crisis. By investing in playful, scalable early childhood development programs, we can empower the next generation to build a better world.

At World Vision, we believe every child deserves to grow up with dignity and confidence. That means providing support during life’s pivotal moments—like puberty. ? Navigating puberty with dignity lays the foundation for healthier, more empowered futures for all. That’s why this #MenstrualHygieneDay, we’re proud to champion a more #PeriodFriendlyWorld — one student, one parent, one school, and one conversation at a time. ? Since 2021, we’ve equipped more than 3,000 schools with menstrual hygiene management facilities—helping create safe, supportive environments for the 1 in 4 girls who miss school during their periods due to lack of access to resources. ? And we’re changing the conversation. Through our WASH UP! Girl Talk program with Sesame Workshop, we’re educating both girls and boys about puberty and periods—empowering girls to manage their health with confidence and boys to foster understanding and support. ? What began as a pilot in Zimbabwe in 2019 is now a global movement. Girl Talk has reached more than 58,000 children—and in 2024, expanded into El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Kenya, reaching more than 5,000 more students, including children with disabilities. ? ?? See how, together, we’re helping kids take care of themselves and each other. ? #WASH #MHDay2025
